Barbara J. Briese, a Licensed Educational Psychologist (L.E.P.), has more than 20 years experience from the classroom to the boardroom. She assesses learning abilities and provides comprehensive educational services for toddlers through teens. She teaches classes, conducts seminars, and mentors parents and other professionals. She has worked with clients from the classroom to the boardroom.

In California, she has worked with school districts in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Sacramento, and Solano counties. She has also been an instructor and mentor at California State University, San Marcos; and at Azusa Pacific University.

Internationally, she has presented a workshop on behavioral styles to a group of international school psychologists in Yugoslavia. She gave a well-attended lecture on "The Role Of A School Psychologist in the USA" at the Universidad in Temuko, Chile.

In addition to her private practice based in Murrieta, she also works as a consultant ("subject matter expert") to the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences, a think-tank of licensed educational psychologists based in Sacramento. Together, they create and develop questions for the state licensing examination.

She is the proud mother of three adult children and grandmother of three. Her hobbies include tennis, snow-skiing, swimming, and a fair bit of knitting.

Her family name "Briese" is pronounced like "breezy" — it's from the German word for "breeze" or "breath of air."
